The 595-mile south-to-north trip is for our most ambitious participants. The route covers almost every region of Illinois. You begin at the Superman statue in Metropolis and wind your way to Winthrop Harbor on the Wisconsin state line.
Lincoln, Illinois, is the only town that was named for Abraham Lincoln before he became president. As a young man, Lincoln was known to walk miles to borrow a book and walk miles to return it.
Walk Across Illinois is free and open to anyone who wants to improve their health. Sign up today and take the first steps on your Walk Across Illinois.
